Not Ready for Winter?

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

I must not be, because I'm still breaking out my spring-like tights. I actually bought these a while back (in the spring, maybe?) but never got around until reviewing them until now. Quite honestly, I don't know why. These tights are gorgeous to look at and quite nice to wear, as well. Furthermore, they're a tremendous value, which may be a bit overdue after a weeks worth of highlighting La Perla, Eres, and the like.

For this price, it is always easy to buy cheap tights that don't even make it through one wear. But I was hopeful for these since Pamela Mann has a reputation for being an excellent value for the price. The Waterlily Tights, pictured here, certainly live up to that reputation. If you're looking for a comfortable yet feminine pair of net tights, look no further.

For net lovers, these tights are a great diversion from the basic net patterns. In these tights, waterlilies and leaves wind their way up the entire length of the tights, save for a small reinforced toe. Indeed, it is one of the many creative and interesting patterns currently available from this designer.

The tights are a blend of 84% nylon and 16% lycra (I love when they add up to 100 ;-D) . They're one size, which often worries me, but in this case, they have a tremendous amount of give and seem to keep their pattern well no matter how stretched they get. The best part is, they cost £6.99 (about $11 USD). Honestly, I've been seeing a lot of patterned tights around lately, and I think this stands up to the nicest of them. I'd say they're versatile enough to fit a number of different occasions, and they look and feel good enough, that you'll probably end up wanting them too.
