La Perla Goes Night Clubbing

Friday, October 16, 2009

Today, La Perla unveiled a new collection, as part of its "Black Label" line of lingerie. It is called "Black Label Night Club" for those interested. Just in case I haven't done enough gushing on La Perla lately, they decide to drop this new line on me. It's all tulle and satin, so it's safe to I'm loving what they've done here. Here are just a few pieces that caught my eye:

I've already made it a point that I am a huge fan of high waisted briefs. I'm also a huge fan of tulle. La Perla combines them quite nicely here, in the Night Club brief, which is black stretch tulle with several vertical sating insets (in purple) throughout. Tulle and satin? Yeah, I could get into that.

The reverse side is similar to the front, except that the middle satin insert in the front is the only wide one (for obvious reasons). The panty is made from silk and elastane (lycra). It costs $182.

If that particular panty isn't high waisted and/or embellished enough for you, why not try the Diamond High Waisted Brief. To answer your immediate question: No. These aren't real diamonds. Or...if it is, this is the best value you're ever gonna get from La Perla. Once again, it is a stretch tulle and satin combination. This time, though it rises much higher, has cut-outs on the side and the back is all satin. Oh, and there's the other little difference of rhinestone embellishments throughout (front only).

Save for the rhinestones, this panty is made from nylon, silk, elastane, and cotton. It costs $479.

Briefs not your thing? How about this bustier? It's sheer tulle, layered tulle, satin, and black banding. It also has a cut out, slightly below the natural waist. The vertical satin, down the middle, is all that connects the bottom part of the bustier with the upper part, in the front. There is also satin covering the cups of the bustier. The back is done in the same way except the vertical satin encloses a hook closure down the length of the bustier.

The bustier is made from silk and elastane. It costs $322.

Purple not your color? Perhaps you'd prefer the Diamond Bustier, in that case. This time the boning and trim is all done in black satin. The back has a nice detail as there are chantilly lace inserts, on the tulle, in between some of the boning. The back also has a hook and eye closure down the middle of the garment.

This bustier is a combination of nylon, silk, elastane and cotton. It costs $480.

For something even a little bit more different, there is the Diamond Triangle Bra. It almost looks like a really, really, really little tank...except quite a bit nicer. It is intermittent parts stretch satin and chantilly lace. The pictures from a bit too far away, but if you can see the detail just under the bust line, that is repeated in the thin vertical strips down either cup. The back has a single hook and eye closure and the straps are, unfortunately, non adjustable...so there could be some fit issues.

The bra is made from nylon, silk, elastane, and cotton. It costs $255.

That's all for I can stand for one post. Feel free to check the rest of this line out on the La Perla website. There are a few other interesting pieces, including a whip, if you're so inclined...

Thanks for stopping by. I hope everyone has a nice weekend!!
