New This Week

The new haul at UK Tights this week is almost all about Pierre Mantoux. Pierre Mantoux is a new name to me, but I'm certainly interested in finding out more, as some of this hosiery looks simply delicious.

Let's start with the Gloss 15 Seamless Tights. As you might have guessed these are 15 denier, so they are quite sheer. They also fit around the hips, instead of at the natural waist like most tights. So these can be worn with lower hanging attire. These tights have a glossy leg and (though it is equally sheer) a matt panty. They are also a good choice for those of us with longer legs as they will fit the taller heights.

They have a shadow reinforced toe and are 84% nylon and 16% elastane. They come in Nero (black) and Muscade (a pretty dark tan color). They come in sizes II, III, and IV fitting hip sizes anywhere from 32-42. Finally, they cost £19.95.

Another option is the Nude Tights. These are also 15 denier. They are sheer throughout and soft to the touch. The website claims that they are knitted with a special yarn that will give the legs a naturally tanned appearance. They come with a logo waistband and a cotton gusset. Again, these claim to fit well on longer legs.

These tights are 56% polyamadie, 42% Polyurathane, and 2% cotton. The sizes run the same as the tights above. They are only available in the color Caribe, which is kind of a dull tan color. These tights cost £10.95.

Then there are the New Parisienne Stockings and Hold Ups. These are ultra sheer at 10 denier. Whether you opt for the stockings or hold ups, you will get a very wide band of some gorgeous lace detailing at the top. They are both ultra sheer with a sheer toe and flat seems.


They stockings and hold ups are 91% polyamide and 9% elastane. They both boast a velvety soft touch and are available in black only. The Stockings cost £18.95 while the hold ups are £19.95.
