Holiday Leftovers

Wednesday, March 24, 2010

I liked the new Mimi Holiday collection so much, I'm back for seconds today. Along with the Encor L'Amour line that I profiled yesterday, the Ooh La La line has recently hit the market.

I like the name because there is most certainly something very European about this collection. It's the type of lingerie you'd expect to find in lingerie drawers throughout Paris...soft and subtle, yet gorgeous and detailed, all at the same time.

Unlike the animal print yesterday, today's line has a more delicate feel about it. It's done in a very transparent white tulle. It has plenty of lace detail around all edges of the bra and knicker set. The white is offset by a very delicate violet color used to enhance the heart detail throughout, as well as bow and ribbon details on both the bra and the knicker.

The delicate fabrics (same as yesterday, 100% silk), the soft colors, and the abundance of lace make this set perfectly feminine. It's the kind of lingerie that seems as though it would be just as appropriate for lounging around the house on a Sunday morning as it would be under your very best attire on a Saturday night. And for this price, that kind of utility is just a bonus.

So these are the two looks for Mimi Holiday. I don't think two looks could be more equally gorgeous while looking totally different. Which is your favorite?
