Stylist dream job part one

Tuesday, September 21, 2010

In an unofficial poll (ie, asking my fashion forward pals) eeeveryone wants to be a stylist. Interesting, given a mere few years ago the job title barely existed.

Most of us think we can expertly mix it up, but only some have a real knack.

I don't purport to be the most stylish person on the planet but I think I am fairly adept at styling it up when required. Accessories help. Hence my accessories addiction. Plain outfit = boredom plus. Plain outfit plus amazing baubles and bits, et voila: sensational get-up.

If you think you've got what it takes, you should definitely check this out: it's a chance to style it up from Sportsgirl.

To enter, you need to submit a fashion editorial of five related photos showing off your styling skills, tell them about yourself and your inspiration in 50 words or less, and you could score an assistant styling gig on the next Sportsgirl shoot (including transport and accommodation) as well as $500 Sportsgirl wardrobe.

It's the second year they are running the comp, so it obviously proved a real winner last year.

The competition closes at midnight AEST on the 17th of October 2010 - get onto it!

I'll be posting more on Sportsgirl's latest trends - their new khaki/military pieces are to die for.
