There was a time in my life when I enjoyed joining in on the post-Thanksgiving mayhem and hitting the local malls to begin my Christmas shopping. That time has long since passed.

Save Some Pounds

If you haven't yet gone over to see the special offers section of Stockings HQ...well...what are you waiting for? When you do you will find lots of good stuff. It includes trusted brands like Falke, Jonathan Aston, Levante, and a few that, I confess, I have yet to try myself. But now might be the perfect opportunity.

Remember back when I reviewed the Falke Bardot Tights? Well, I paid $45 for them then, you can get them now for £10.95 (about $18.10)...and yes, I'm jealous.

While you're there, go for the Deneuve Tights, which is almost the exact opposite pattern...for only £10.95 as well. These have a floral pattern with capri length coverage that remains sheer from below the knee to the toe. What would they look like together...one has to wonder.

The Deneuve are 74% nylon, 15% polypropylene, 10% lycra and 1% cotton. They are 15 denier. Currently they are available in black on rose in small and medium only...may be time to hurry.

I have never tried Primavera. And now that I see some of the styles and patterns they are capable of, I can't believe I haven't. Side seam patterns, back seam patterns, all over patterns Primavera has them all. And while they're not all that pricey to begin with, this sales makes them all that more affordable.

For £6.95 or less you can have any of a number of different styles. I had a hard time picking just one for this blog, but I settled on the Amelia hold ups. These things are gorgeous. They're fishnet with a back seam that ends about 2/3 of the way down between the back of the knee and the ankle. There the seam is finished off quite nicely with a lovely bow.

These are 93% nylon and 7% lycra. Available in only black but in small through large fitting anyone 5'10" and under. Finally, they're made in Italy. Tell me you don't love these. And please, check out all the Primavera patterns, some of them are just beautiful.

Finally, do you think £12.13 ($20) is a good price to pay for 100% nylon, 15 denier, Cuban heeled, fully fashioned stockings? I certainly do. And that's how much these stocking from Gio are right now.

Coming in 8 different colors and sizes from 8.5 to 11, this truly is a stock up opportunity for lovers of the full fashioned stockings. These things can consistently twice as much and often much much more than that. These are hand made in the UK and almost guaranteed to go fast.

Aristoc for Less

In the past I've spoken glowingly about Aristoc. I've tried a few items from their product line, and I am always impressed with the value.

Well now, Stockings HQ is offering two types of Aristoc stockings at an even better price. They are the Sensuous Lace Top Stocking and the Sensuous Lace Top Hold Ups and they've both been marked down from the already low £5.00 to the even more reasonable £4.35. If ever there were a good stock up opportunity, this is it. Both sets of stockings are available for a variety of colors. Both are quite sheer (10 denier) and 86/14 nylon and lycra. Enjoy.

Nordstrom Sale

My initial purpose for going on the Nordstrom website was to look for shoes in size 12. As it turns out, they have a pretty wide selection of shoes in that size, some of which are quite nice and/or on sale for quite a discount. Of course, before I knew it, I was instead browsing their hosiery page, where they have quite a decent selection of things on sale as well.

Some of their sale includes Nordstrom brand hosiery, which I've posted about a few times in the past. Typically, their brand is pretty inexpensive to begin with. What's more, though, is right now they have quite a selection on sale, many items from 30-50% off. Seeing as they're the only department store in my area that takes hosiery seriously, this is probably a sale worth checking out in person, even if their closest store is a bit more of a drive than some of the other department stores around.

A pretty good example of their wide selection as well as their sale prices is the Nordstrom Spiral Crochet Tights, pictured above. This isn't the type of detail you typically find with department store brand hosiery. Furthermore, they're made in Italy, which should ensure good quality, at least from my experience. Now the best part is, they're marked 33% off. This means that instead of the already reasonable price of $24.00, these are only $15.90. And that's just one example. There are quite a few good things for sale here.

I may have to jump in my car and check out what else they have in the store. My only dilemma now is: should I find tights with shoes to match, or shoes with tights to match? Ah, decisions decisions...

...And More La Perla Tulle

I saved the best for last when it comes to my recent La Perla binge. From the moment I put this on, it vaulted to the top of my list of sexiest panties I own. Of course, it always feels good to be wearing La Perla, but this particular panty is maybe just a little bit better.

It's too bad that I can only find the picture in beige. While beige is nice, I bought my panty in lilac, and it is such a better color. All the lacy detail and see-through tulle really jumps out in the lilac color. When I tried this panty on in front of the mirror this morning, I was stunned by the way it looked.


If you check out the La Perla USA website, you can see this panty in the Lilac color. What you'll see, is some amazing floral detail over the tulle in the front. There are two seams down the front of the panty, creating a brief-like effect.

The back is simply see-through tulle. Other than that, the only other effect is a nicely-done, floral daisy edging along the bottom. This panty is maybe as feminine as it gets...and that's just fine with me.

It is a combination of 70% nylon, 15% spandex, and 15% cotton. This panty fits very well and is comfortable for the most part. I do have to say, the lace can get a bit scratchy, in areas where it might be best not to, but it's not all that bad, and very much worth putting up with just for how good it looks and how great it fits.

It is currently almost half off on La Perla USA, market down to $79.80 from $133. While $80 is still a decent amount to pay for one panty, I think it is worth the money. Everyone needs to have a panty like this. We all have those days where we need a panty that makes us feel like a million bucks. This one will do that.
