The Spring 2009 Couture shows were sort of underwhelming. Lacroix is always out there. Dior as well. But otherwise there didn't seem to be much avant-garde action going on. Most of them just looked like ready-to-wear collections. There were, however, some fabulous looks and beautiful pieces on the runway. My top picks? Well, I am so glad you asked...

Elie Saab: Epic Beauty (Don't you DIE over that second pair of shoes?!?!)
Chanel: Amazing Headdresses; These stripes slay me.
