Let's keep the new brands rolling, shall we?
Cecilia de Rafael is a hosiery brand out of Spain. It was founded in 1976 and still today is considered one of the more prestigious brands coming from this country. Their focus in on using the highest quality eco-friendly materials, yet they manage to do this and still deliver product at a decent price.
Today I'm reviewing the Gemma 20 tights. These tights are one of the basic (or continual) tights in their vast collection. According to Cecilia de Rafael, the attention to detail that went into the production of these tights should make it a pleasure to put these on every day. In other words, the purpose of these tights is for the individual who incorporates tights into their everyday wear (hello, me!). I couldn't agree more.
These tights are incredibly soft, smooth, and comfortable...I mean incredibly. They are a matt finish. While they do give off some sheen, it is definitely subtly. If you're looking for something shinier, Cecilia De Rafael definitely makes those too...in fact, a review of those should be forthcoming at some point :). These are among the most versatile tights I've worn. As stated above, they were constructed with office wear in mind, but they can be seamlessly incorporated into more formal or casual looks with ease.
These tights are sheer to waist and 20 denier. They are made from a blend of 85% nylon and 15% lycra. These tights are fully boarded with a slightly visible reinforced toe. They have flat seams on the toes and a cotton gusset.
The Gemma 20s come in five different sizes and 7 different colors. They can comfortably fit anyone from 4'9" to 6'3". I've been doing this for a while, and I don't remember ever seeing regular tights that claim to fit someone that tall. Finally, these tights will cost you less than $11 USD. The value of these really are amazing. I've worn tights that cost twice as much that didn't come near standing up to these. Once again, I really have to recommend these to anyone who enjoys wearing a great pair of tights.
