The Glamour Ginestra 40 tights are a little bit of a break from the norm for me. At 40 denier they are semi-sheer and a bit more dense than the tights I typically wear on a day to day basis. They are probably just right for a raw, rainy, March day in Boston, which today just so happens to be.Today is one of those days when you don't want to get out of bed...let alone get dressed. Luckily, the Ginestra 40 tights changed that to a large degree as they are an absolute pleasure to put on. They instantly feel incredibly soft and silky against the skin, and fit very comfortably. They have a matte finish. They give off the smallest bit of reflection from light, but they certainly wouldn't be considered particularly shiny. They have some transparency so the leg is visible beneath the tights, but they do look a bit more dense than the sheer tights. The extra denier also leads to a lot more durability. These tights can take a little extra abuse and not run or tear...these are perfect for people who can sometimes be a little harder on their leg wear.
The Ginestra 40s are made from a blend of 85% nylon and 15% elastane. They are available in 4 sizes fitting heights anywhere between 4'10" and 5'10". They also come in 4 different colors. These tights are a very good value at $11.49. Given their durability and how great they feel, you're likely to get a lot of wear out of a pretty decent price.
